Kelly and I's latest project has been choosing the songs for our wedding dance party next month. 💃🏻🕺🏽 Not easy with so many songs to choose from! So we’ve been using the Tear Test. If the song’s intro or title makes one of us cry, it's clear YES. 👉This is also a great indicator of how to set goals for your life. One of the first things I do with coaching clients is help them get clear on what’s most important. It's amazing how challenging knowing what you really want can be. If thinking of a goal or dream causes you to tear up, it's worthy of your time and attention. Sometimes it takes unplugging from your life and sitting with yourself to find out what dreams are hidden inside you. Here's one opportunity to do just that: Tonight I'm leading an online Full Moon Circle. There's no fee. Just sign up and show up. Take some time this week and connect to what’s in your heart. 💖 You deserve the time and space to create what you want for your life. Don't let the "to-dos" get in the way. In Joy, Nyssa P.S. I'd love to know your top songs for a wedding playlist. I'm open to suggestions!

Most of my dad’s siblings were visiting for the fourth of July. Twenty-four-year-old me thought it would be hilarious to do a full improv monologue from the perspective of a chin who had declared independence from...
They say a lotus grows from mud. I’ve seen vines grow from concrete. Yesterday, I spotted one pushing up through the crack between my house and our not-even-two-year-old porch slab. Nature is amazing. So are you, Reader. Some of the biggest lessons come from what feels dry, brittle, and stuck—yet somehow, new life breaks through. This time of year, I like to reflect on the past six months and dig up the gems hiding in the rough. Here’s what I’ve learned: I need routine—but one that breathes....
A friend asked me yesterday, "How are you treating yourself right now?" I'm embarrassed to say that I really had to think about it. The first few things that came to mind were all work-related. Don't get me wrong, I love my job. But I don't think those count as treats. Then I remembered that I had a fascial booked today. While booking my next appointment with the esthetician, I took advantage of the bowl of chocolates set out. This morning, I gave myself an extra 5 minutes to slow down and...
